Matterhorn Alpine Crossing: the highest cableway of the Alps

Matterhorn Alpine Crossing is the magnificent lift that links the Italian side of the Matterhorn (Breuil-Cervinia) to the Swiss one (Zermatt). The new lift Matterhorn Glacier Ride II, which is today the highest of the Alps, links Klein Matterhorn and Plateau Rosa through the highest cross border pass of the Alps.

The two stations are one at Testa Grigia (3,458 m), in Italy, and at Klein Matterhorn (3,883 m), in Switzerland: skiers and pedestrians can thus easily move between Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt, between the Aosta Valley and Valais, and between Italy and Switzerland. And once the Klein Matterhorn is reached, if you are rather curious you can visit the ice cave, a spectacular structure that lies at a depth of 15 meters and which is accessible through a 50-meter long tunnel of ice: here music and lights create a unique and unforgettable atmosphere!
