At the foot of the imposing Monte Rosa, Gressoney-La-Trinité is a station of international reputation with a long alpine tradition. Gressoney-Saint-Jean, hardly 5 km below Gressoney-La-Trinité, is a characteristic Walser architecture village. It is the heart of Monte Rosa skiing with its 180 km of trails distributed over 3 Alpine valleys and offering a great variety of outdoor activities for the summer season.
Staffal is the gateway to the exciting off-trail routes and ski touring on the snows of Monte Rosa, to the 4,459 meters Punta Gnifetti and Capanna Margherita, the highest shelter in Europe.
