In the Realm of Nature
In the heart of the wild Rhêmes Valley, inside Gran Paradiso National Park, Rhêmes-Notre-Dame is at 1,725 meters altitude in an immense open basin. Composed of several villages nestled between meadows and forests, the village has kept its typically rural architectonic structure unchanged over the course of centuries and offers an authentic model of slow tourism. Here everything follows the rhythm of nature: in winter the skiers have evocative trails for Nordic skiing and snowshoes, in addition to many routes for the Alpine skiing. In the summer season at Rhêmes-Notre-Dame it is possible to practice horseback riding, mountain biking, and excursions; the tracks of Alta Via n°2 cross here, between Donnas and Courmayeur.
